Non-Executive Chairman
Mr Luo Tao has held the position of Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of ORD since September 2005 and he is the Chairman of China Nonferrous Metals International Mining Co., Ltd (CNMIM), one of the largest shareholders of ORD.
He also holds one of the most senior position in the Chinese metals industry as the President of China Nonferrous Metals Mining (Group) Co. Ltd (CNMC), the parent company of CNMIM and as Chairman of China Nonferrous Metals Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd (NFC), a company listed on China Shenzhen Stock Exchange and ORD’s joint venture partner in the Bolaven Plateau Bauxite Project in Laos.
He has over 30 years experience in the nonferrous metals industry and was Vice Director of Beijing General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals. He was the Chairman of Committee of Supervisors and Vice President of Aluminium Corporation of China Ltd (CHALCO), a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange and China’s largest alumina and aluminium company.
