Company Overview
The Company was formed as an unlisted public company on 4 May 2004 with a committed focus to grow by acquiring prospective precious and base metals tenements, exploring, appraising, then developing and, in time, mining gold and basemetals.
The current Company’s objective is to explore for gold and base metals, in particular copper and nickel, over time to prove sufficient reserves to make feasible a mining development.
Exploration Assets
The Company has the following interests in exploration tenements.
Gold targets
Granted exploration licences: 75% interest in EL 23454 and EL 23492 and a 100% interest in EL 24167, all located in the Tanami gold province in Northern Territory where major mining entities have previously carried out exploration work. Thetransfer of EL 24167 to the Company following its recent acquisition is awaiting ministerial approval.
Base metals targets
Granted exploration licences: 75% interest in EL 80/3288 and a 100% interest in EL 80/3316 in the East Kimberley area in Western Australia targeting prospective copper resources.
Exploration licence applications: 100% interest in EL 80/3428 and EL 80/3429 in the East Kimberley area in Western Australia that are awaiting ministerial approval.
Company Strategy
The present development strategy of the Company is to:
• continue exploration work in its tenements through further samples analysis and drilling to define mineral resources and then reserves; and
• seek to acquire additional tenements with gold and base metals targets in Australia, and overseas through possible introductions by CNMIM.
Alliance with Large Mining Corporation in China
• Co-operation Agreement signed with China Nonferrous Metals Int’l Mining Co., Ltd (CNMIM), a large Chinese corporation reported to: – be targeting global mineral resources including copper, lead, zinc, gold, nickel and cobalt with financing and equity investment, exploration, mining, plant construction, operating, and processing services; – have interests in gold and copper mines in North Korea, gold exploration project in Cambodia, and bauxite exploration projects in Laos; and – have expertise in exploration, mine development and smelting in the Chambishi Copper Mine in Zambia, zinc mine in Mongolia and nickel mine in Myanmar.
• CNMIM has already invested $2 million in a Convertible Note adding to the working capital of the Company and will become a cornerstone investor when the Company has been admitted to the Official List of ASX and the Shares of the Company are approved for quotation on ASX.
• Chairman of CNMIM on the Board of the Company as Deputy Chairman.
• Opportunities for CNMIM to co-operate with the Company to seek global mineral exploration ventures.
• Technical co-operation with CNMIM’s team of experienced geologists and engineers with broad experience in precious and base metals exploration and development ventures internationally.
